South African winemakers have been using Huguenot techniques for generations. Barnardt Boyes is among the most distinguished and highest quality South African wines available. 

John and Carrol Boyes’ family have developed agricultural estates since 1820. The Boyes family now owns 7 fruit farms with a total of 75 square km, a vineyard and mining operations throughout Africa. Carrol Boyes is an iconic South African artist and designer and is well recognized for putting South Africa on the design map. She participates in the wine business by designing the unique bottle labels and appearances.

Dr. Neels Barnardt, a winemaker of Dutch descent, became involved in wine through his relationship with the famous Dr. Anton Rupert. Dr. Barnardt worked with Dr. Rupert, 
 well-known businessman, and owner of Rupert & Rothchild,for 12 years before joining with John Boyes to form Barnardt Boyes Wines. 

Mr. Hendrik Snyman, a German-descent winemaker, followed up his winemaking studies by working in famous wine-making regions worldwide – the Napa Valley (Trinchero Family Estates) in the US, Champagne (Champagne Guy Charbaut) in France, Marlborough (Jackson Estate) in New Zealand, Germany and well-known South African wine estates (Windmeul Wines, Rust En Vrede Estate, Guardian Peak Wines, Chabivin Champagne & MCC House). Hendrik has a passion for quality and his global experience in wineries from 10 to 90,000 tons, has shaped his skills as an organized winemaker who brings real attention to detail.
